SOUPER BOWL LUNCH - FEB. 3RD!

SOUPER BOWL CHURCH-WIDE LUNCH Fellowship this Sunday - Feb. 3rd at 11:30a.m. to 1:00pm in the church dining hall/gym; Join us for a bowl of soup and fellowship. Admission: Please bring canned foods for the Huntersville Loaves and Fishes Pantry!

Special Note: Our regular 4pm & 5pm student activities (handbell, drama, ovc & recreation crew) will occur; however, there will be "no" shared meal at 6pm or AMP-event this Sunday.

Sign-Up for Summer Camp - eCamp!!

The students' summer youth camp forms (eCamp waiver & fbc-h permission form) and the $50 deposit needs to be turned into the church office by next Wednesday, January 30th to participate.  Contact Marcus at mmims@fbc-h.org if you should need more camp details.

Two days left to sign-up for our "Day Ski Trip @ Sugar Mt" on Feb. 2nd.  Deadline to participate is Wed., Jan 23rd. You can go to our church website to download your form.

THIS SUNDAY - Jan. 20th!


There will be no AMPLIFY "shared meal" and "amp-event" this Sunday due to the Church Called Conference.  Amplify will return next Sunday, Jan. 27th with the Mission event. This Sunday at 4:00 pm students will have their regularly scheduled youth Hand Bell practice and Drama practice and at 5:00 pm One Voice youth choir will practice and the Recreation elective will be offered. Please note that Rec moved to the 5:00 pm.

PRAY that God will be present and be glorified in the Church Conference this Sunday! I hope to see you all on Sunday in early worship!  --- Marcus

AMPLIFY WORSHIP EVENT - THIS SUNDAY!

This Sunday afternoon youth return to their regular church activity schedule with a slight change. The recreation crew moves their time to 5:00-6:00 pm meeting at the desk in front of the gym. The shared meal continues at 6:00 pm followed by the AMPLIFY event. Youth are welcome to join just for the shared meal and AMP event. Remember to bring $2 to offset the food.


This Sunday is their AMP-Worship experience scheduled for 6:30-7:30 pm in the Exchange. An important church conference is schedule at the same time in the sanctuary that will affect our whole church body. Its my feeling that we should NOT cancel the Amplify Student worship experience. I feel the students time would best be served worshipping God together and praying for this meeting. Several students have made preparations to lead in the AMP service and I want to value their efforts. If some of the older youth and/or families feel they should attend the conference in the sanctuary they would be welcome to do so.

Following the Amplify event students are welcome to stay in the discipleship center with me and do their homework, play some games, get tutored by me (scary thought), join their parents in the church conference and/or just hang out. Students should NOT be roaming the church campus unsupervised. Don't forget to bring books if needing to do school work. The church conference may run long.

Have a great weekend, pray for our group going tomorrow evening to the Winter Jam concert in Charlotte, and hope to see you Sunday in worship!

WINTER JAM IS FINALLY HERE!

All youth & adults signed up to go together from the church...please note, we have bumped up the departure time to 3:00pm (sharp) pulling out of the church parking lot!  We want to make sure we get tickets and good seats for this incredible worship experience.  THINGS TO REMEMBER: $10 for your ticket, $ for food/snacks, eat good before leaving for the concert, bring event permission form (if not already turned in/MUST HAVE).  Expected return time is around 10:30pm! I will be at the Cookout eating at 2:30pm if anyone is interest in joining me.  C-Ya!
